Trunks filled in where he could about the train, and explained about how he was familiar with time-travel from his own universe, and how it altered timelines to create a new branch. But he was content to let Cassie speak for the most part. "It took a bit for Mom and I to figure out how to alter the tima-machine for dimensional travel too. I also had unfinished business, so it's been more than a year since I've seen Cassie. More like...3-4ish years."
